WartPEEL is a prescription medication available throughout the U.S. (excluding Alaska) and in Canada.
WartPEEL is a compounded topical medication containing 17% salicylic acid and 2% 5-fluorouracil, delivered in a patented adhesive gel base known as Remedium.
It is applied at night and washed off in the morning. The Remedium base dries quickly and adheres securely to the treatment site, minimizing transfer to surrounding skin.
Possible side effects may include:
• Burning sensation
• Redness
• Irritation following application
• Rare side effects may include allergic contact dermatitis or itching.
WartPEEL is prepared exclusively by NuCara Pharmacy and shipped directly to eligible patients in the U.S. (excluding Alaska) and Canada.
You can obtain a prescription in one of two ways:
1. Through a Healthcare Provider
WartPEEL can be prescribed by a variety of licensed healthcare providers, including dermatologists, primary care physicians, and specialists.
If your provider is unfamiliar with WartPEEL, they can find prescribing information in the Prescribers section of this website.
2. Through Teledermatology
Licensed providers offering virtual consultations may prescribe WartPEEL if medically appropriate.
SkyMD is one available option with clinicians trained in WartPEEL use. When submitting a case, select “Referred by WartPEEL” under the Medical Concern section.
