Effective April 1, NuCara’s compounding pharmacy operations have transitioned to new ownership and are now operating as Medicap Pharmacy. As part of this transition, all Texas WartPEEL prescriptions previously sent to NuCara Pharmacy in Austin will now be directed to Medicap Pharmacy in Coralville, Iowa. More Information Here.
 

Medicap Pharmacy is currently updating its non-resident pharmacy licenses, which may result in a temporary delay in dispensing WartPEEL to patients in California, North Carolina, and Texas. We are actively working to complete these updates as quickly as possible.

NuCara Austin Announcement

Dear Provider,

Effective April 1, 2026, the NuCara compounding pharmacy location in Austin, Texas will be closing. As a result, all WartPEEL prescriptions will need to be directed to the Medicap Pharmacy in Coralville, Iowa.

This transition is part of our ongoing effort to consolidate the dispensing of WartPEEL within the Medicap network of compounding pharmacies and to ensure long-term operational efficiency.

The Coralville location is currently in the process of obtaining licensure in Texas, and we anticipate that the licensing process may take up to 30 days to complete.

During this transition period, we are working closely to minimize any disruption to patient care. While we do not anticipate significant issues, there is a possibility of temporary delays during the licensing window, and we appreciate your understanding as we complete this process.

Once licensure is finalized, there should be no ongoing delays, and patients can expect the same reliable turnaround times, even with prescriptions being fulfilled out of state within the Medicap network.

Aside from directing prescriptions to the Coralville location, there are no changes to the prescribing process.
